Ya'll know the economy is in a state of fucktitude. Governor Gregoire is proposing some budget cuts that will potentially leave Seattle Children's Hospital short of some money. I'm talking a lot of money. Enough to where some programs could be cut and I could lose my job. It ain't really about me. I got two healthy kids (Thank you Lord) but if something were to happen and the care I needed was not available, that would be ___________. If you got kids, you fill in the blank.

so i as born in 75 and made to the us in 81.

2001 the year that tara was born. i go into back into my childhood phase, start buying up joes on ebay. that shit was awesome. at the same time they were going to mix in the style figures. this is my rant, those figures are wack. oh well.

maybe in 09 my collection will make it back to ebay and keep the ones that hold a piece of my heart.

Merry Christmas
Dropped the family off so they are on their way to SD. I decided to skip going to B-town due to the weather. The streets seem clear but the side roads here suck, likely the same over there. The trash is starting to accumulate due to the weather no service. Fourth day without and its making me feel...crazy. Making me sleep lots? nah I like to sleep, but maybe taking more naps than normal. LA vs Boston game was good but i fell asleep somewhere in the 2nd quarter.

little update

its been a little over a month since my last update. we moved in to the townhouse and still sorting out stuff in the house but getting there.

had to post because tara made her first basket in a game. beautiful thing. she loves hoops. other parents say this to me: "she is so agressive", "you got a 1 or 2", "is this her first time playing on a team?....yes....wow". she is so busy. i accidently signed her up for two soccer teams and b-ball. she is handling them fine but she gets tired on the weekends with the other activities (school events, bday parties, parties, etc). summer is coming and the sports will die down. i will be sending her to some camps.

teren is cool. he is getting so big so fast. overall he seems happy.

almie...don't forget its mother's day this weekend.

vacation update

i forgot how much fun posting on lj was. determined to do it more often.
beach today....not too hot...cold water

saw jon, wojick, vlad a couple of days ago was fun. hopefully we can hook up again before we leave. we're trying to set up a dinner...it seems that jojo is moving back to guam.

a family from seattle came to visit with us in sd. they are teren's godparents. good peeps with 2 kids. their oldest is in 10. tara and her are at an age where they are friends one minute and the other minute seems like drama. im pretty sure that maybe its just in tara's eyes. she is so emotional like her daddy. we did seaworld, beach, fooding, probably some malling tomorrow with them...good times.

the video cam i got my in-laws works and it doesn't. maybe its the skype connection. my end seems to be working fine. tomorrow im gonna test the audio\video with messenger. if you got a cam and want to do some test chatting. lmk

got to sd on thursday without much hassle. was a good flight.
friday was spent getting reacquianted with the family...good times.

went to the mall today and it was cool. i remember living in the same downtown area and it was dirty with lots of bums. oh how time changes things. wonder where all those bums went to?

then off to the casino. didn't bring a huge roll so i played 1-2 blinds with 60 max buy. floor lady automatically puts me at this table. twas fun. played loose and fast at times other times slow. made one bad play, but turned 3 buyins 180 into +215. its so fun when you get pot odds to call....somebody has to get lucky with Q-6....hahaha

its so nice to be able to eat real food. for 2 weeks tara and i were eating out here and there. its good to eat tilapya and mungo beans. gotta becareful here on vacation though don't want to over do it on the food.

condo is sold. waiting to finalize the paperwork on townhouse. upgraded appliances ordered. i can't wait to wash clothes in a full size washer and dryer. dual dishwasher....who needs cabinets.

i maybe getting old?...i sure want to pay someone to move me...just keep thinking how my body will feel after moving in....3 stairs.

almie and the boy are in sd and tara is sleeping. i took a two hour or maybe longer nap....can't sleep.
what the hell has been going on:
trying to sell this to get this, need to leave the condo as it will be getting smaller soon.
al is now a real state agent buy\sell from her.
teren alexander shelton is now a little over 3 months old. born on thanksgiving 07.
tara-allison shelton is now in 1st grade and a soccer beast.
terence nava shelton still at children's hospital, love it but still got that itch to gamble for a living.
almie borromeo-shelton is going back to work soon, still at onvia.com. missing her.

both sisters are now are back in the neighboring area which i like.
moms and pops still doing what they do.

i miss my shoes. ive been beating on the same pair for about 2 months. at least the storage is free.

i love eating at tnt.

debating on a new phone. ok button on mine and is worn out and the vibrate feature is stating to no longer buzz. thinking about 810 with wifi to phone with skype or gizmo . running cost benefit analysis. feedback welcome.

got a every friday game that has been running strong for a while now. some dead money some solid players all in all pretty good. always looking for more players.

i miss the casino. been twice in 08 or maybe 3. having kids does change your priorities.

fantasy sports: b-ball doing ok, baseball soon, football made some money.

what a difference getting a hair cut and shaving do for you. or it should be put how other perceive you. its funny when you haven't shaven in a few weeks and start small talking with someone (man or woman) and they start rubbing their chin or sideburns. LOL. i wonder if my baby noticed that has dad looked different.

man i haven't posted on this thing in a while. well Kgarten is over now summer break then to 1st grade. seed is getting older by the minute. got a second one on the way. al is good and contiues to be that way. we got a 7 yr anniversary coming up...damn! i get older by the second.

work. why can't it be easy and they just give me money. haha. still at children's hospital and things is ok.

poker. i didn't make into the world series this year. i started the trek on the internet to late. i finally figured out how to get money but the 50 didn't get to far. house games are pretty much dead, except for one i got going on fridays. casino is a far drive but i try to make it up.

it is so funny how small this world is. i went to this game and it seems like a reunion and these heads from btown all know each. then i a week or so later i run into one of them at anther party and they all know each other. and he knows this guy who is tara's kindergarten friend's dad. small.

man i just read my last post and i was just talking about my new job, how big tara is getting, almie and her job, the crazy dog, and how poker has been up and down.

fastforward to today.

my ass got my lay off notice 07/27. been pretending to work since then. i have to be here till 08/11. then i get paid till 08/25. then my 14 weeks severance. good times. economics of it all. india (no hate) has built there economy to undercut american jobs. Apu Nahasapeemapetilon what are you doing? LOL. how about this name Shital Mutha...nice. this is the first time this is happened to me so the its been a mix of emotions.

tara has been at st. matthews summer camp and she has been loving it. we got digital cable and we have been in tv heaven. purple cobras!!! this past weekend we went and bought some uniforms...Kgarten starts in a couple of weeks.

almie is good. she took the lay off harder than i did. but somebody has to do the worrying. catering thing is in the works for her and her almost sista.

the dog is still crazy but starting to settle.

onto poker. i have been debating playing for a living. its scurry but highly possible. so i decided to try it out last night. i have been to the casino very sporadically since i got the new job. i decided to play yesterday..i did a session at goldies for 2hrs up $103, then later on that night did a 2 hr session at crazy moose up $109. so about 4hr @$212, thats $53 an hour. if i could produce $200-$300 a day, 5 days a week i could survive. 200*5*52=52K 300*5*52=78K all this could be tax free.....could be. could i handle the swings????

anyways....if you know of some IT jobs holler at me.

been a long time since....

started a new job on 02/16. kind of slow getting accounts/processes/training/phone/etc, so i have some down time. get to wear jeans and sneakers. went to an all hands meeting today and it was actually pretty good, my boss's boss is english so it makes for good sounds. i have a view of the water and get to see the ferry. i sit by nobody. we have this lab with 16 cubicles and only 4 are occupied. my team lead(s) are cool. i got a promotion. my manager is cool. she is out of northridge, but she came out to visit and we had a after work social event. nice to see co-workers that like to hang out with each other.

tara is a getting so big. we got the school setup, so that is nice. almie is happy at her job. things running good in the family. the dog is still crazy.

poker is up and it is down. likely due to my own deficiences in the game. you know what to do and how to do it, but sometimes you don't follow and just gamble. oh well.

weekend haps
got off work on friday and tara was given away to a birthday party. almie and i seperated she went to casino and i went off dvida art thing. good times. folks getting old and what not. the burn thing is dope. if i had $ id cop it. then to a bar in queen anne. damn did everybody in this joint just get off work. i like that part in that one song "But when you get on he leave yo ass for a white girl" it reminds me of "my white moved back to michigan."

i spent sat, sun, mon at home. i never left the house all but to walk the dog. i watched baseball, football, and sat on the internet. monday i did some mad cleaning. i played poker but free poker. the bank roll is in the tank. im a point where i have to settle it down a bit. well i will play tonight because it is the draft order lottery tonight for fantasy bball. football teams both got rocked. i thought bledsoe wouldnt do so hot against the eagles defense, so i benched him. tomlinson didnt do that super. glenn kicked my ass in the other league. i picked up jurevicous but woke up to late to insert him even if i did. i miss fb. it has way more things to analyze. football is on any given sunday, but its fun too.

i downloaded a bunch of reggae. i love reggae covers, they seem to make the song much better.
